Mělník Maternity Hospital porodnice Mělník

Welcome to the website of the Mělník Maternity Hospital!

NEWS FROM THE MATERNITY HOSPITAL

Interested in what's new with us? Last year we opened a new, fifth floor of the maternity ward. Expectant mothers can now use a total of 19 superior rooms, including 5 family rooms with a double bed. The new rooms will provide you with even more comfort and privacy. Of course, it is possible to stay, at all times, together with a partner in all superior rooms. You will feel at home with us, especially with the facilities of the Obstetrics and Neonatology Department. On the third floor you will find beautiful modernized and spacious suite-type delivery rooms with a relaxation area and new equipment, which is different for each delivery room. For example, there is a multitrack relaxation aid or a relaxation bath. The comfort of the environment and the wonderful, friendly staff are always there for you. Registration information

You can register for childbirth from the 33rd week of pregnancy in our registration clinic, where the obstetric documentation will be drawn up.

After that, depending on the agreement with your outpatient gynecologist, you can attend our pregnancy clinic until delivery or come to the maternity ward reception for delivery or recommended hospitalization.

It is always necessary to make an appointment for the first visit by phone at 315 639 370. The registration ambulance is located on the ground floor of Building T.

You can also register electronically from week 14 at:  lucie.horakova@mediterra.cz

We are very grateful that you have chosen our maternity ward. We look forward to seeing you and your baby.

And how does registration at the Mělník Maternity Hospital work?

On the first visit we start with an ultrasound examination (the ultrasound clinic is located next to the Registration Clinic)

You will then be greeted by a midwife and a doctor directly in the registration clinic.

What to bring with you:

  • pregnancy card (always carry it with you everywhere)
  • a urine sample
  • health insurance card
  • ID card - ideally bring a copy of your ID card and your spouse's ID card
  • marriage certificate - again, ideally a copy
  • for unmarried parents - declaration of paternity
  • report from the first prenatal screening (performed at 12-14 weeks of pregnancy)
  • reports from specialist doctors, if you have any
  • a request form from your gynecologist
  • the name of the pediatrician you will subsequently see with your baby, if you already have an appointment

Foreign mothers

  • passport
  • residence permit/visa
  • translation of the marriage certificate into Czech
  • proof of insurance

Blood pressure is measured, you are weighed, swelling of the limbs is checked, if you are a mother after the 37th week of pregnancy a CTG is recorded - about 15-20 minutes

We enter your information into the computer and review your informed consent for subsequent admission for delivery

We also consult with the doctor, examine the patient and arrange a possible follow-up visit.
